The River Food Pantry is excited to announce the return of Match Madness from March 1 to March 31, 2025. During this period, all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000, effectively doubling the impact of each contribution.

This year’s Match Madness campaign focuses on providing cereal to low-income households throughout Dane County. Cereal is a popular, nutritious, shelf-stable, and easy-to-prepare food suitable for all ages. However, due to its cost, many families cannot afford it, and it is not frequently donated, making it a high-demand item at The River.

Every $15 donated will supply 10 boxes of cereal to families in need. To participate, donors can contribute online starting in March or mail checks with “Match Madness” noted in the memo to:

In addition to monetary donations, supporters are encouraged to donate boxes of cereal directly or organize cereal drives to benefit The River. Donations can be brought to The River at 2201 Darwin Rd.
