Black History Month

“A Century of Black History Commemorations,” is this year’s theme, marking the 100th anniversary of the first Black History Week in 1926, established by Dr. Carter G. Woodson.  Exploring the meaning and legacy of these celebrations today, his theme honors the journey and impact of Black Americans over the past century of organized recognition, from enslavement to leadership roles.

Check out the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce and the Black Business Hub, scheduled to open soon.

Extraordinary and innovative artists will be featured in “Restoring the Black Woman” at Madison College’s Dzigbodi Akyea Art Exhibit on February 1, hosted by the Black Women’s Affinity Group at Madison College.
