The Glarner Stube translated into English means “The Living Room of New Glarus.” This place at 518 1st Street is fondue. A favorite of the locals, known as “The Stube,” serves up a fine pot of melted cheese. The kitchen also cooks up nice steak, seafood and chicken with a propensity for covering it all in cream sauce. This small romantic place is completely made out of wood and decorated with hand-carved Swiss objects.
