Over 100 years ago, a planned community was laid out deep in the UW Arboretum. But the land wouldn’t support the buildings, and the Lake Forest community was abandoned. Remnants of it are still there. It’s not easy to find, but people who’ve been there will tell you that you never forget a hike to Madison’s –lost city.–
